April 28

Welcome to the Aquinas Reads blog, set up especially for Aquinas students and teachers.

In this blog you can write about the books you’ve read, read other students’ reviews of books, check out teacher recommendations of great reads, find out author and literature news.

You can make comments about what others say by clicking onto the ‘Comments’ tag after each book entry. Make your comments short and to the point. All reviews and comments will be moderated.

Post book reviews in the ‘Comments Box’ below, or email them to me at:  marjo@aquinas.qld.edu.au

So now it’s up to you. Have you got something to say?

If you have trouble starting, think about these questions:

  • What is the last book you read? Would you suggest it to a friend? Why or why not?
  • If you could trade places with any character from a book for a day, who would you be and why?
  • Name three characters from a book that you’d like to meet. Tell us why.
  • Do you have a favourite quote or scene from a book? If so, what is it?
  • Tell us about your top three favourite books of all time.
  • If you liked this book, you might also like…
  • If you had the opportunity to meet the author of this book, what three questions would you ask him/her?
  • If a movie has been made from this book, did you like the book or film version better? Why?
  • If this book was set to music, it would be…
  • Tell us about your favourite book series.
  • Adapted from Teenreads.com

You will also find subject pages – supplementary material to what is covered in your classroom. Enjoy!
