Shakespeare – The Bard’s No Bore!

You’ve heard about William Shakespeare, right? The guy who wrote plays a long time ago? So what’s the big deal? Why is he still famous? And why’s he called ‘The Bard’?Shakespeare Greg Rogers1

Going to one of Will’s plays was a bit like going to a Pink or a Lady GaGa concert today. It was an absolute hoot! He had to be good, really, because if he wasn’t, you could throw rotten fruit at him. He needed to be funny, naughty, sad and witty… at the same time having the ‘Aha!’ factor where the audience realizes that he’s just said something really clever and deep.

So let’s find out a bit about him, who he was, what his theatre was like and what some of his plays were about.
