‘Mac Slater Cool Hunter’ is an out of this world novel. It has a unique storyline and genre. The author Tristan Bancks has written a book that captures your attention straight away and continues to excite in every chapter. The story is about two boys, Mac and Paul, who are best friends. They love to invent flying bikes and try out new and wacky things. One day while testing out a new invention they are spotted by a man who asks them to spot cool stuff and report back, so that they can put it on their website called ‘Cool Hunters.’ This website is where kids can see all the stuff that is new and cool. The story follows them on their adventure searching for cool stuff all over the world. The book will appeal to teenage boys. Have you ever wantedto be a cool hunter? Someone who gets to try out new products that are ‘in’,well ‘Mac Slater cool hunter’ is the book for you to read. Mac Slater and Paul Porter would’ve never dreamed they’d get the once in the lifetime opportunity to become a ‘cool hunter’; until one day when they’re trying out their new invention, a flying bike. (Mac and Paulbelieved that they were the next Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell of the 20th century.) Though the flying bike had a few malfunctions, they were able to get some air (even if it was just for a few seconds) before a cloud swept over the bike, causing the solar engine, which Paul had installed to power the vehicle, to choke and die. Even though the invention was a complete failure, they still get a lot out of it. Two guys named Speed and Tony were watching Mac the entire time he was in the air. They offer Mac the opportunity of being a ‘cool hunter’ and a chance to go to New York… but there’s a catch. Mac has to fight for it. The competition, Cat Devrees is a tough-as-nails girl who doesn’t like being messed with and always gets her way. Follow Mac and Paul through this exhilarating and exciting book, which will leave you on the edge of your seat. Love, loss, adventure and betrayal; this book will leave you begging for more.
